  1. Dear Ms. Goodspeed,

I am trying to find information on some early Somerset/Hunterdon County settlers. The Ditmars family (John, John Jr. and John William) are of interest to a documentary I'm working on.

I would love to see if you've ever come across those names in your research of if you could shed any light on early residents of the county. If you can, e-mail me at christine.mahin@pictureshackentertainment.com. I would very much appreciate it.

Thank you in advance, Ms. Goodspeed. I look forward to hearing back from you.

  2. Dear Christine,
I'm sorry to say I have little information on the Ditmars of Hunterdon County. It appears they lived in the northern townships, like Readington and Tewskbury. I suggest you try the Hunterdon list serve, since there are several people who also research that family there.

  3. I just found your blog while doing a random search for George Fox "the Elder". I hadn't looked for a while since there was so little and since there was so much on George Fox the Quaker. I'm now very, very happy I did!!!! I'm descended from George through his son Gabriel down to Amos Fox of Champaign County, OH. Many thanks for your research efforts!!!!
